without light ic in Nokia 1208 simply remove light ic and also a light
at the left side as shown nokia x2-00 ear speaker problem
in diagram then make jumpers as shown in it all track and links from lcd jack to light ic can be easily indicated in diagram given with this post.so after making these jumpers you will be able to solve light problem without light ic.
